Author Visits

Growing up, Josie did not realise that being an author was something that anyone could do. Today’s children seem to be more aware of the possibilities open to them, but arranging a meeting with a ‘real’ author is a great way to inspire children in your school or group.

Josie’s author visits are fully interactive sessions which include story-time, audience participation and art activities based around her stories. Choose from Lum or Lum’s Mum Author Visits.

Call/email Josie to discuss your requirements.

Josie is an excellent storyteller who connects really well with young children and their parents!

Imagination & Creation Workshops

These are Storytelling Workshops with a difference!

Firstly and importantly, there is no writing involved.  Josie’s workshops are all about encouraging children to set their imaginations free!

The workshops begin with word games to get brains engaged.  The children then have the opportunity to use art and craft materials to create their main story characters.

Using ‘Talking Tables’ and materials from nature, the children create their story landscapes.

And finally the characters and landscapes are brought together when each child has the opportunity to share their story with the group.

Although there is no writing required during the workshop, each child will be given a Story Ideas notebook to continue their imagination and creation journey after the workshop.

Call/email Josie to discuss your requirements.

Josie brought lots of stimulating, creative objects to inspire the children’s storytelling.

The children thoroughly enjoyed the workshop.
