I went ‘Live’ on Facebook today and stated that everyone’s first love was their Mum. A pretty bold claim, but one I stand by (excepting those who, for whatever reason, didn’t get the chance to meet their Mum). Of course, as you grow up, love changes but hopefully your first love will always be there for you. My Mum is and I try to do the same for my children.

As a Mum myself, celebrating love for Mums is very important. We do so much for our children and if we don’t remind them, we get very little back – just want a million hugs and some thank yous. This is one of the reasons I wrote Lum’s Mum. There seem to be a lot of picture books about Dads – and how wonderful they are! – and I was a teensy bit jealous LOL!
