Shy Sherona & Bold Bill

Shy Sherona and Bold Bill
Go to school together
Although very different
They’ll be friends forever!

Bill will talk to anyone
And loves the attention
Sherona goes bright red if
She ever gets a mention

A friendly author lady
Came to school one day
“I can’t go and talk to her
I don’t know what to say!”

Sherona was too shy to
Speak to Josie at the start
She hid behind her friend Bill
And quietly did her art

Josie read her story Lum
And got the children drawing
Pictures of scary monsters
And Bill, he was guffawing!

They discovered Lum was not
So bad, just a shy fluffball
Sherona thought she liked him
So she left her place at the wall

She slowly shuffled forward
Watching Josie all the while
She wanted to hear more of
Lum in Josie’s story style

Lum was happily passed round
To all the girls and boys
Sherona gave him a big
Squeeze, no longer feeling coy

Josie told them to hunt Lum
Sherona was first in line
She no longer cared to hide
It was her time to shine!
